The Free From Bakehouse is an independent award-winning artisan producer specialising in gluten free & wheat free baked goods. Not only are they handmade in a dedicated gluten & wheat free kitchen, about two-thirds are also dairy free (no butter, yogurt, cream or cheese) and an increasing number are sugar free (using natural sugar replacements) and/or egg free (making them suitable for vegans) or diabetics.
Our cakes and savouries are indulgent with those that try them pleasantly surprised by the taste, quality and texture that belie the perception that somehow a ‘free-from’ product should be an inferior one. They are hand-crafted in small batches using high quality ingredients and where practical, fresh seasonal fruit and (yes!) vegetables, single-origin chocolate (and certified dairy-free chocolate) along with free-range farm eggs from local producers.
They have been tested (less than 5ppm) making them suitable for Coeliacs and those wishing to remove wheat, spelt, oats, barley and rye from their diet.
